New Year’s Eve Wedding | Bear Ridge Destination

INTRODUCING MR & MRS GLOVER! 

Drew and Mikayla became husband and wife on New Year’s Eve at Bear Ridge Destination and we were so honored to document it. These two kept God as the center throughout the whole day and it was incredibly special to get a front row seat to God working in these two lives as He united them as one. It was such a beautiful reminder, even in my own life, of the purpose of marriage, God’s design for it, and how beautiful it is when a marriage is synced up to glorify God. When I say that I can’t think of a better place to be or a better reminder as we walk into the New Year – I mean it. It was definitely a wedding that I will reflect back on time and time again.

On top of all this goodness – Drew and Mikayla were just the BEST. Everyone’s biggest fear is RAIN on their wedding day. The best advice we give to our couples when they see rain in the forecast is to just be flexible and roll with it. Drew and Mikayla set the new standard for this! We had about a 30 minute rain window and so Mikayla flew into her dress and we all ran outside to do the first look and as many portraits as we could before the rain came. These are the photos that will be looked at for generations and generations and we love when they are prioritized.

The other advantage that they had with the rain is that they booked Bear Ridge – an incredibly large and stunning venue, which allows for beautiful indoor photos. We quickly moved inside once the rain became too much and were able to finish all of the remaining portraits indoors. We loved working with Anna who planned and coordinated this day seamlessly. Her and her husband are both in the wedding industry in Florida and it was truly an honor to work alongside of them. Her husband, Erik, did videography, and he was one of the easiest videographers we’ve worked with! We love working with vendors who care about details and serving their clients (even if it includes getting SOAKED in rain from head to toe). While we were waiting for Mikayla to come for the first look, I asked Drew, “How are you feeling?”, to which he replied, “I’m nervous. I cry a little bit and then it goes a way, then I cry a little bit more.” 😭 This first look reaction is what every girl dreams about. The pictures give me all the feels 💞
